“It’s a Smoking Deal!” say’s owner Giovanni DeGarimore of Giovanni’s Fish Market in Morro Bay, CA. “With the limited 2021 season, the prices have been double that most of the year.” says DeGarimore.
Giovanni’s Fish Market has been serving up the “Fresh Catch” for nearly 40 years now, sourcing sustainable seafood from local fishermen. The Annual Dock Sale take place during the summer King Salmon Season, where locals line up to purchase a Whole King Salmon, cut to order and packed on ice for no additional charge. This years price for the whole fish is $9.99 per pound, with averaging 10-15 lbs. each.
Sale begins Sunday Morning at 8:00 with stock selling out typically by Noon. Locals are often observed lined up an hour in advance with ice chests, and cash in hand, often buying 2 or more fish per customer. The sale takes place on the unloading dock behind Giovanni’s Fish Market near the parking area north of Giovanni’s. Offer good while supplies last.
